I literally abandoned my blog, which, by now is obvious to everyone. Watching Julie and Julia, reminded me that, I, too have a blog, which I started writing last year. I'm writing this post exactly after one year, just 7 days to go.
Okay, I think this is enough for the self-realization. and to soothe my mind, I have a big reason (or excuse) on why I did this. Last year after my last post, I started my boutique, Kiran's Hues, which kept me occupied. Not only this, I can make a list of things which kept me away from writing.
1. By now you know the first reason, my boutique
2. There was a constant inflow of guests pouring in during the year, including a trip to the French city in India, puducherry
3. In November, we went to Goa to celebrate our second anniversary (that was a 5 min plan, executed in another 5 minutes)
4. Then came another big news of a cousin's wedding.
5. I joined a gym and went into my fitness freak mode with preparing salads, healthy food, reading the recipes, trying them, grocery shopping (always tried to get fresh veggies and fruits, which is time consuming, trust me)
6. Started practicing yoga, joined AOL happiness program (which was helpful, and I wish to restart it soon)
7. Went to chd and then Nagpur to attend the wedding
8. And after that I get 15 days to spend with my little niece.
9. when I came home after 40 days, got busy with household chores
10. With in few days of coming back, went to stay at a cousin's place for another 10 days
These are all excuses, which I can quote everytime, to stay calm on why I left my blog in the middle.
Excuses, excuses and more excuses. But this is not going to happen now. Life is like this, it keeps on bringing speed bumps, makes you slow down at the time when you are running fast. But that does not mean you need to stop. Life will move on its pace, and you have to take out time to do something that you love.
Many times it happen that we are enjoying the life, but deep down somewhere, we know we are missing something, which makes us happy. Then why do we keep on procrastinating such things. So, the lesson is don't leave things in between while performing other activities. AND don't be Lazy.
Anyway, now I'm home. I promise myself to make it a priority to write my diary everyday.
Amen!

"Happiness in The Box"
Last two days were monotonous. But, that's kind of okay. Some peace before the "Big" news arrive. I'm eagerly waiting for the day when I can share that "Big" news with everyone. A big box of happiness will be delivered very soon and then you will see a deluge of photographs on this blog.
Keeping my fingers crossed till then.
My driving class is going good. I also drove it without the instructor sitting beside me and scolding me for stupid mistakes. But, yes, "S" was there and he guided me like a perfect navigator, which makes me forget few occasional glances from the man :)
Another weekend is here, and there are plans to watch Tiger Shroff's "Heropanti." Going by the reviews, the movie is doing good. I'll will share my views on it, if we go to watch the movie. So, till then, let's say goodbye to Friday and welcome the weekend with a happy heart.

An Eventless Tuesday
The day was totally eventless.... I did nothing and now I'm feeling bad for it. From tomorrow onwards, I'll avoid afternoon naps, that makes me lazy for the evening.
It's raining here, and I'm craving to go out for a drive. I'm signing off a little early tonight, getting ready for a drive :) See you tomorrow. Oh, by the way here is my chocolate for the day :)

The Lesson of Monday
A new week is here again. The day started very late for me. I went to my driving class and learned something new today. While driving, I realised that driving slowly and calmly is the mantra to drive perfectly. In fact, our elders always advise us to stay calm in life whether we are going through a gloomy period or enjoying the moments of happiness. Anyway, a good lesson a day means 365 good lessons by the end of the year. I'm Happy :)
There is an important news on the way, which I can not share today, but, yeah, very soon, I will share with everyone. And I need your good wishes and blessings to achieve success in that. I'm very excited for that.
Now, signing off for the day with my favourite Peles d' Ocean Belgian chocolates and a walk under the starry sky:) Let's see what lesson has Tuesday in store for us.

NaMo NaMo Everywhere
I was supposed to write this on Friday. But, was glued to news channel since morning.
Yesterday was a big day for every Indian who wants to see their country marching ahead in the direction of development. The counting for Loksabha Elections started at 8:00 am. And the big fight finally stopped after Narendra Modi was declared the winner of 2014 national elections with 'landslide victory.'
The country's newly elected prime minister tweeted "India has won. Good days are coming" in his first reaction to a historic victory by his Party in the elections, and also during the campaigning. And the countrymen have also raised high hopes in him.
Everyone is tired of terrorism, corruption, inflation, bad infrastructure, heavy taxes etc. Above all, everyone is tired of unfulfilled promises and want to see some real change in the country.
The Indian voters have chosen him for the country's top position and they have faith in him that he can do what the previous government failed to do. I, too, wish that Mr. Modi use his magical wand like he does in Gujarat (as everyone says).
Let's hope for the best that he and his party (BJP) can bring in the changes we all are looking for.
p.s. And the big news of the day is that I drove my car independently, without any guidance from "S." Will write more about my experience in the next post. So, keep coming back for more :)

Thursday...A Happy Day
Sometimes, indulging in sinful foods make your day...agree? There are days when I just can not resist myself from eating sweets, cakes, chocolates. and Thursday was one such day....A Happy Day, to name it. Carrot cake and Walnut Banana cake with a cup of tea on a beautiful summer day is all you need to call it a perfect day, but, the after-eating effects are always there :)
See you tomorrow with a news that everyone knows but still waiting to hear it officially :)
There is a guilt after consuming so many calories. And the fitness freak in me rush to gym to burn out few of these. Not bad, may be this is the way to strike a balance between eating junk and then exercising too hard to mitigate the pangs of consuming those extra calories. And not to forget, I did feel better after sweating out. So, here is my solution for all those people who do want to eat junk and stay healthy at the same time. "Eat without worries and sweat out with guilt." If you agree, then drop a word, would love to read your comments on it.

I Carry Your Heart
I was watching a movie and suddenly I could feel wetness on my cheeks. In the movie, "In her shoes," the elder sister protects her younger sister from everything, although they don't have anything in common. And when the younger sister is away from her elder sister, she miss her deeply while reading a poem to a blind old man. And that was the moment when I felt I'm missing some one.
The poem was "I carry your heart with me" by E. E. Cummings.
I felt a strong desire to talk to my Dee. I called her to tell her how I felt while watching the movie. But, I could not say a single word, instead I was talking to someone else (though she can barely utter a few words at this tender age). But, before I tell you who is this intruder between the two sisters, I would like to tell you about the bond I shared with my dee.
When dad left me in the pre-school I cried to be with my Dee, who was in the first class in another school. I was a stubborn kid so, dad requested the principal to let me sit next to me dee in her class. And from that day we studied together, played together, and even, fought together.
Not only this, we worked together, after completing our post-graduation (we opt for same subjects here too). And during all these years, she always stood by me in all the hard times, protected me from dad-mom, when I did something wrong, gave me right advise at the right time, motivated me when I felt low, celebrated with me my little successes, kept my secrets to her heart and loved me unconditionally.
We are in two different states now, but, the distance hardly matters. We are connected through out the day, all thanks to the tech-world we're living in.
Things have changed a little bit though, but for a good reason. Now, we have someone who share our giggles and who drive us a little crazy by her adorable acts. She is a proud Mama of a cute little angel, whom we call "Hargun." I call her with different names, Cupcake, Apple-pie, Butterfly, Doll, Gunguna (the list is very long, really)

She has changed the way we talk to each other now. Most of the times we are discussing her, how she walks, what all new words she has learned, how she calls her mommy and daddy, how and what she eats etc. etc. etc.
She is 16 months old and I must say she walks in an adorable manner, and have four teeth; Two top and two bottom :) she loves going out with her daddy. There are so many things that I want to write about her, but, may be in a separate post :)
AND NOW, coming to where I left. The nostalgic me was dying to talk to my strawberry cupcake instead of my dee. Yes, she has successfully replaced her :)

Happy Reading :) :)
